I would like to first off say that I am new to Metaphysics. I stumbled upon this site when I had a sudden urge to figure out my past life. I have been trying
to go to that special place so I can read on my past lives, but I keep getting these really weird feelings..the type of feeling that you get when you look at
something really old in a thrift shop or someones old clothes..or ever sleep on someones old bed. Honestly the feeling makes me feel really weird and makes it
hard to concentrate. Plus I've been having thoughts on whether if i did something really bad in a past life and if shown to me i would be scared..like if i
killed someone. On a side note I've always wanted confirmation on this little incident that happened when i was growing up. Around the age of 5-6 I woke up
from sleeping..I saw the lamp in the living room on. , and i walked to the living room. Then i saw a blue van in the drive way. I thought it was one of my
moms friends..i was not totally sure what time it was but I had to guess it to be late. I turned my back and then there was this baby with a bird stuffed
animal. I was playing with him and he was playing with me..I remembered that I had a stuffed eagle toy in my room, so I went to go get it then when i was
walking back into the living room i saw what I thought was a monster. Now that I think back to that day the monster resembles a gremlin. If anyone has thoughts
on these 2 subjects then please share. I would also like to thank the creator of this forum and website, your awesome!

There isn't a person on the face of the earth whose past lives have all been completely perfect. We are human and make mistakes. Looking at your life,
either this one or a past one with the expectation of fear will create blocks and more anxiety just because you're expecting it to.
I've long wondered why it's so much easier for people to focus on the negative aspects of spirituality than the positive. Horror movies are much easier to sell and are more popular than the movies about the same general subjects that have positive scenes. A ghost that's trying to kill you is extremely rare, if it ever truly occurs. But it's easier to believe the bad. I suggest just relaxing. As LSW says, fear is just anxiety about a subject you haven't learned about yet. The more you learn, the less mystery is involved and the less fear you'll have. There's a difference between 'knowing' and 'remembering' about a past life. We tend to do more of the 'knowing' part when we go out searching for past information. It's sort of a natural method of protecting our mental state in this lifetime. A method of helping you keep a slight distance from the emotions of that life and to look at it from an academic or higher place in order to learn from it. There are moments when you do have that 'remembering' feeling. But often these are spontaneous and not something you purposefully go out to find. These moments happen more often when you're visiting a place and suddenly you have a memory of being there in the past. An example might be visiting a Civil War battlefield and suddenly you know you were there, you know where you were and what you did on that battlefield. These moments can raise up some feelings of remembrance that also connects you to the emotions of that day. We all have had things happen to us in past lives that are affecting this one. Some of those things may not be good things, some of them might be dreadful things we did. But consider the thousands of lifetimes you have had. Of those, you only choose 22 lifetimes to bring into this current existence to work on. 22 from thousands. In those 22 you will choose lifetimes that hold knowledge, experience and wisdom that will benefit you in this lifetime. From those experiences you will have connections to other souls to walk through lessons with, to share energy and karmic events with. If you killed someone in one of those past lives, you might give life to them in this lifetime and repay the karma you gained through their death. What might seem bad to you in this day and time, might have been part of life back then. So to go into a spiritual exploration with a feeling of dread, anxiety or fear doesn't make much sense. Knowing about it isn't going to change what happened. But it can change how you deal with situations and choices in this lifetime moving forward. One of my favorite phrases is: Improvise, adapt and overcome Don't let the past control you. Not from this lifetime or from the past 22 lives you have chosen to work on. I hope this rambling helps some how.

answer to my "On the side note" part of my message. If you think i could just be crazy about that or you dont have an answer, Its fine to me..well

Hello Again Hachi, You're the only one who can really determine what this event means. It was after all something that happened to you. Being so long ago, and when you were so young, was it a dream? A sleep walking event? Or an incident that happened? Our answer to those questions don't matter, because it's not our memory. What you believe is what matters in this context. One thing you might think about first is, the baby - could be innocence. Not dangerous, safe, something to play with and share with. When you returned it was a monster/gremlin. Ok, but you didn't say if that was a bad thing or not. Some 'monsters' aren't frightening, they just look scary. Let's say for a moment that the create was scary. The baby went from a safe buddy to play with, to something scary. A complete opposite of what it was at first. From this perspective you're going to have to try and look back into your life and figure out how this applied to the events in your life at the time. What was going in your life when this incident happen? See if the change from safe to scary applies to something or someone from that time.
