Well, I am a single mother ,so what better place to share my thoughts than here.
So I actually need some advice here. I am a single mom of an 11yr old boy. He has no brothers or sisters, at least not from me.
For his age , my son seems to be very mature, at times he even tells me that I need to grow!, is funny, but ever since I started on my spiritual path which is about 2yrs ago he do notice my changes, and of course I have change.
We used to argue almost everyday, my temper was out of control, but all that is better now. The problem is that, he is annoyed and doesn't like what I have become, meaning that, I am more calm, tend to plants, pray, meditate, and sit on my balcony and stare at the sky.
He finds it weird and when I ask for my "ALONE TIME", he becomes annoying and start interrupting me, until I become upset. This of course drains my energies and puts me in the bad mood. He is very smart, mature and has qualities that are not often seen on kids of his age.
Can someone here please advise me here?

My mother says that teenagers eventually turn into people instead of teenagers, but
it takes a long time. Teenagers are like toddlers, they see a great big world and they want to figure out where they belong in it and get themselves in all
sorts of trouble. He sounds like a good kid at heart, and that is how you can tell if you are doing ok. No one is a perfect parent, we've all done things
we regret. I have a long list of things I'd like to undo, but even so I have good kid. And, yes sometimes he annoys me a little, even though he's
really the only reason I get get out of bed some days.
