Shadow,

That's not what any of us are and the story is obviously designed to make people upset.

I'm not picking on you here, so please don't feel that way. I have no doubt that others haven't also gotten upset. That article and discussions about it are plastered on many blogs and message boards; so it is more than evident that you weren't the only one. There's nothing to be ashamed of! So stop that.

The question why did it make you upset or so angry goes deeper than just "that's not what I am".
That statement (and you're not the only one to think it or say it; I read it on a few blog responses I saw today), but that statement suggests that a person needs outside validation and acceptance of who they are in order to feel good or right about them self. And THAT is the real issue.

The only opinion about you that matters is yours. If you want to extend that to your spouse and/or children, that's up to you. But beyond that, no one else matters. You define who you are, what you are and what you will be. No one else has the right or power to tell you differently. If you can believe in that, if you can hold onto the strength of your own personal connection to the GreatSpirits than nothing others say, wither fictional or real will ever have control over you thoughts and emotions.

Just believe in yourself! You can do it, or you wouldn't be here on this humble little message board sharing your thoughts and perceptions.

Many Blessings -
