Hi everyone, first post here. =) I just have a quick question for you guys.
I've always been interested in all of the different types of Paganism and liked some of the aspects like rituals and meditation and whatnot. The question I have is about the casting aspect. Now I understand that spellcasting isn't required for the different paths. However, I've always been kinda skeptical about magick because it seems that all of the resulting effects take place over time and nothing is ever instantaneous or semi-instantaneous. I'm yet to try any casting myself so I haven't been able to test the effects of spells, I was just wondering if there are in fact any spells that produce immediate effects. Seeing a spell work fairly soon after it is cast would help me believe in the idea more and I wouldn't be able to just shrug the effects off as coincidence.
Forgive any ignorance I show, I'm pretty new to this =P
Thanks.
