Setting Corresponence

Ok I've been doing a lot of thinking about things corresponding to other things. I believe that where you are in the world, society and culture, impacts how you view certain connections to things. One of LSWs favorite examples of this seems to be color and money. Here in the US we connect green to money because that's the color of our money; but over seas in Europe that association doesn't fit.

This kind of connection related to the personal has me wondering if any...

So at the family reunion I got to spend time with sister 3 and her wonderful son. She admitted that her alcholoic husband has talked her into going back to Bolivia with him and living there for a year taking care of his parents. As always he's promised not to drink and as always she believes his lies.

But this time her eight year old son has pleaded with her not to go. He wants to stay in school in the US. He also told her that 'dad won't last more than a week in Bolivia...

Finding my sanctuary

So last night, I meditated for the first time in a while. It actually felt very calming for me (although I didn't fall asleep for hours afterwards), but I seem to have some problems. I have read over the guides on this site, which are very good. And tried to follow them, as well as incorporate my own ways of doing things, but I feel as though I'm missing something.
I plan on trying to meet my spiritual guide. But that's a goal I don't think I'll achieve without a lot...

Runes vs Tarot

Looking for opinions, which does everyone find more "effective" if you will...Tarot or Runes? And then the next part of that question is why? I did tarot a long time ago.. Or does it depend on the person and or guides in ones life? As I said just looking for Opinions or thoughts on the whole thing. I got stumped on the questions about past lives. I don't know why really.

I just remembered something, and I have no Idea what brought this memory...

I would like to first off say that I am new to Metaphysics. I stumbled upon this site when I had a sudden urge to figure out my past life. I have been trying to go to that special place so I can read on my past lives, but I keep getting these really weird feelings..the type of feeling that you get when you look at something really old in a thrift shop or someones old clothes..or ever sleep on someones old bed. Honestly the feeling makes me feel really weird and makes it hard to concentrate....

Hi there

I am reading with interest about reincarnation and notice you mention that we choose a maximum of 22 past lives as well as this current incarnation.
Just wondering where this number came from and why the significance as my understanding is that in other cultures (ie Hindu, Buddhism) there is not a "limit" on past lives.

Also, what happens if after 22 incarnations a soul does not learn all its lessons ..what happens?

I would like to start a topic about Ceremonial Attire. What do people wear or don't wear, when conducting private and group rituals?

A friend of mine told me that she has joined a group in California and they wear what she describes as simple uniforms. Almost like surgical pants and shirts, that have been died to an emerald green color. Everyone wears this. The High Priest and Priestess are the only exceptions, but their exception is to wear a light weight cloak in the summer...

When I went to find my spirit guide (a beautiful wolf that I love very much, now) I looked into a pool of water and saw an old Native American woman staring back at me. She quickly changed to a young Native American woman with an angry glare, as if I was invading something. Two days later, she had a smirk on her face, and a few days after that, she seemed like she was inviting me somewhere. Anyone have an idea as to an explanation?

As a teenager I followed my insticts and not what others around me told me was the "Right Path" to follow. Back then I knew my spirit guild (now I can't even remember his name), I listened and learned. Then I was charmed away from my guild by followers of Jesus the Christ. How does a spirt connect itself to you? I few months ago I was driving along and for a few moments a saw a young boy sitting in the passanger seat. He's probley around his early teens, dark hair, wears a blue shirt but he just kept his head down. Then he was gone, he didn't try and communicate.
